Twenty-five years.
One thread.
Still reaching.
The honest ask
Here is what this actually cost.
I am a mortgage guy from Fort Lauderdale. I help families find homes. That is my job, and I am good at it, and it is how I pay my bills and take care of my wife and my daughter.
For twenty-six years, alongside that job, I have been asking a question that started in a college philosophy class when I was nineteen years old: Is love voluntary? And if God is Love — not has love or does love, but literally IS love — then what does that mean about everything the church taught me?
That question took me through a hundred women. Through a green card marriage that became twenty-two years of real love. Through reading the Bible cover to cover at 4am for the first time at age forty. Through watching my daughter born and understanding for the first time what involuntary love actually feels like.
The result is 1.26 million words across thirteen books. Getting these books published, translated into the languages the world needs them in, and into the hands of the people who need them — that requires more than one man’s business income.
This is the ask. Not for me. For the thread. For every person who has felt it and had nobody to talk to about it.
Here is what this actually cost.

You didn’t end up here by accident. Something pulled you. The same ache that pulled Jim through 26 years of questions, through 1.26 million words — it pulled you here too.
